Well fed sheep obey.

In John 21:15-19, Jesus is having a conversation with his disciple Peter. He prods Peter, asking him three times if Peter loves Him. In response to Peter's repeated "yes", Jesus urges him each time to let that love lead to action:

"Feed my sheep."

Sheep are helpless without a shepherd. Because they follow instinct, a starving sheep will desperately wander until it finds sustenance, but well-fed sheep don't have reason to leave the shepherd. God's Word is the source of life and being well-fed by it keeps one near to the Good Shepherd.

The Bible is the material word of God that's meant to lead to the Word of God, Jesus (Jn 1:1). The purpose of studying is relationship with the Word of God, not just its text.  This website is meant to be a resource for those who desire to become fat sheep, staying near to the shepherd.

WELCOME TO FAT SHEEP!

I'm passionate about decreasing Bible illiteracy in the world and have created content aimed at fighting it. I recently discovered a love for writing Biblical poetry that transforms theological concepts, passages, and its heart into poetry. I've learned its the best way for my heart to truly consider and grasp the weight of God's words. Creative expression has a way of causing information to go from the head to the heart, and my hope is that it evokes a response like Peter's love needed.
